The short version

DialHub is your personal coffee journal. We collect what's needed to run your account and the features you use — your coffee logs, recipes, gear, and the community posts you choose to create. We don't sell your personal data. You can delete your account and data at any time from inside the app, or from the web form at /delete-account.

Account information

You create an account with an email address and a password (or by signing in with Google). Your email is used to sign you in and, if you contact us, to reply. Passwords are handled by the platform's authentication service and are not visible to DialHub.

Profile information

Your profile includes the display name, username, bio, photo, location, and coffee preferences you choose to add. Profiles are visible to other DialHub users by default. You can make your profile private from Settings → Privacy. Your email is never shown on your profile.

Your coffee data

The content you log — brew logs, coffees, bags, recipes, equipment (including maintenance and calibration records and equipment parts), inventory and storage locations, pantry and shopping or purchase information, water profiles, cupping sessions, brewing experiments, taste information, coaching goals, and journal entries — is private to you unless you explicitly publish a recipe or post to the community.

Community content

Posts, comments, reactions, follows, and collections you create are visible to other users according to the audience you choose (public, followers, or private). You can edit or delete your own posts and comments at any time.

Feedback

When you submit feedback through the in-app Feedback button, DialHub may automatically include technical and session context needed to diagnose your report, such as your browser, operating system, screen and viewport size, current page, app version, timezone, language, and user agent. This information is only collected when you submit feedback — it is not gathered continuously. You may optionally include your email address and attachments where the form allows it, or submit anonymously.

Photos

When you add a coffee bag scan, a brew photo, or a profile photo, the image is uploaded to DialHub's file storage and displayed in your content. Coffee bag photos are also processed by an AI vision service to read the label and pre-fill fields (see AI features).

AI features

DialHub uses AI to help you understand your coffee:

  • The AI Assistant answers your questions. To do this, it sends your message along with a summary of your brew history, recipes, and owned equipment to a third-party AI service provider, which returns a response shown to you.
  • The Coffee Coach is a separate coaching feature that can analyze your relevant coffee information — brew history, recipes, equipment, taste information, cupping information, and other coffee context — to give you personalized brewing guidance. This data is sent to a third-party AI service provider to generate your coaching.
  • The Coffee Bag Scanner sends your bag photo to a vision AI service that reads the label text and returns suggested fields for you to review before saving.
  • When you log a brew, DialHub may automatically analyze that brew using AI. Without you opening the AI Assistant, DialHub can send the newly logged brew and relevant brewing history and context to a third-party AI service to generate personalized brewing recommendations for you.
  • When you add a coffee without a photo, DialHub may use an AI image-generation service to create an illustrative origin image, using only the coffee's origin information such as country, region, and roast level.

DialHub does not train AI models on your content. Your coffee data, brew history, recipes, equipment, taste and cupping information, AI Assistant messages, Coffee Coach context, coffee bag scan images, and coffee-origin metadata are sent to third-party AI service providers through the Base44 platform. Under the commercial terms that apply to Base44's use of these providers, those providers do not use your content to train or improve their models. Providers may still access, log, or review content as necessary to provide the service, detect and prevent policy violations, maintain safety and security, comply with applicable law, and respond to legal or regulatory disclosures. DialHub does not control the retention period applied by these providers; for details, see the applicable provider terms linked in DialHub's Third-Party Services section. Don't enter sensitive personal information into AI chats — treat anything you send as data processed by a third party.

Analytics and advertising

DialHub uses two advertising and analytics partners to measure how the app grows. Both receive only hashed identifiers, never your raw email:

  • Meta Pixel & Conversions API — receives a SHA-256 hashed email and user id, plus standard events (page view, content view, registration, first brew) for ad attribution.
  • Reddit Pixel — receives a SHA-256 hashed email and an opaque user id for ad attribution.

Advertising tracking is disabled by default. It stays disabled while your consent is unknown or denied, and only occurs when you explicitly allow it through your device's consent dialog or in-app setting. DialHub does not access Apple's IDFA or any device advertising identifier. When tracking is enabled, Meta and Reddit may receive advertising and measurement event information, and their pixels may use cookies or local storage on your device for measurement and attribution. Our server independently verifies your explicit consent before sending any conversion data to Meta.

These partners may use this data according to their own privacy policies. You can limit interest-based ads through your device or browser settings.

Local storage

DialHub stores preferences (theme, settings, filters) and in-progress drafts in your browser or device storage. This stays on your device unless it's part of content you save to your account. When advertising tracking is enabled, our advertising partners (Meta, Reddit) may also use cookies or local storage on your device as part of their measurement services.

Notifications

DialHub shows in-app notifications for community activity (follows, comments, reactions). If you enable push notifications on your device, DialHub may send push for the same events. You can manage notification preferences in Settings.

Camera and photos

DialHub requests access to your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo (coffee bag scan, brew photo, profile photo). Images are used only for the feature you initiated.

Location

DialHub does not collect precise device location. Any location shown on your profile is text you enter yourself.

Third-party services

DialHub is built on the Base44 platform, which provides authentication, database, file storage, and the AI gateway. Google provides sign-in. Meta and Reddit provide advertising measurement. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your application data is removed as described below.

Deleting your account and data

From inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), DialHub permanently deletes your application data — your coffee logs, coffees, bags, recipes, equipment, posts, and other content you've created. Before those records are removed, DialHub collects an inventory of your uploaded file references (such as photo URLs) so they can be submitted for storage-level deletion.

DialHub does not delete your uploaded photos and images instantaneously. The file inventory is stored securely with your deletion request and provided to Base44 Support to permanently remove the stored files through their process, which may take additional time to complete.

Because the sign-in account itself is managed by the platform, your login is then scheduled for removal and completed by our team. If you've already uninstalled the app, you can request deletion from the web form at /delete-account. You only need the email associated with your account.

Deletion request records

When you submit an account deletion request, DialHub retains a limited administrative record of the request so the deletion process can be completed. This may include your email or account identifier, deletion-request timestamps and status, and the inventory of uploaded file references needed for Base44 storage deletion. This record is restricted to authorized administrative access and is kept for the deletion and compliance process.

Children

DialHub is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 13 (16 in the EU).
